The Boys’ Brigade Serving Boys in Slough

About the Battalion

Formed in 1925, the "Soubuxybarx" Battalion has a long and proud history. It is part of the London District and at one time it had a total of over 12 companies in Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, High Wycombe, Chesham, Holmer Green, Chalfont St Peter, Bracknell, Colnbrook and Langley.

The Companies from Chesham, Holmer Green and High Wycombe are now part of the Chiltern Battalion and over the years, a number of the other companies have closed down. Our company has now left the Berks And bucks Battalion. and have joined the West London Battalion.

The West London Battalion covers a wide geographical area, including the boroughs of Hillingdon, Harrow, Ealing, Brent, Slough, Hounslow and Richmond

Battalion Church Parade

The battalion church parade would take place once a year around July time.  During this event all members of the battalion meet together. The Drum Corps lead the parade towards the designated church location accompanied by various of tunes. This is then followed by the church service, in which various of the boys participate.

Due to changing Battalions, we current do not have any further dates for another Battalion church parade, but hope that in the near future we will be able to join the other local companies in their parades.

For More information about past events, please talk to a member of staff or the company captain.
